I Really Have Discovered A New Zest For Life

Marci, a retired piano teacher and doting grandmother, was quite spritely for her 71 years. It was only when her grandson came along that she recognized she could do with a little help with mobility and flexibility.

“I am so lucky in that I get to look after my 13-month-old grandson twice a week. He’s starting to crawl now and really keeping me on my toes. "

"I’d started to notice that bending down to pick him up or simply getting up from the floor after playing with him were starting to get more difficult. Was my age getting the better of me? That thought made me determined to do something about it.”

Would I have to stop taking care of my grandson?

When she wasn’t taking care of her grandson, Marci liked to do gentle exercise and also walked everywhere she could. She was also a regular at her local Pilates studio, taking part in classes with Katrina and Laurie whenever she found time. However, she hadn’t been in a few months and wondered if this was the reason behind her mobility issues.

She Had An Idea

“I got in touch with Laurie and she told me about the online classes she and Katrina were running. The great thing about these classes is that I don’t have to drive anywhere. I can just switch on the computer and roll out my mat.”

The convenience of online classes meant that Marci was able to find time to attend classes 2-3 times a week instead of 1 and the difference was amazing.

“I can’t believe how much better I feel."

"I really have discovered a new zest for life! My balance and posture are back to where they were a few months ago and I feel I can do my everyday activities more easily and in a better position. I just feel more centered and more controlled in my movements.

The best thing is that I am able to bend more freely to pick up my grandson and getting  up from the floor is so much easier.”
