The Pilates Studio and Naturopathic Doctors in MA would like your help in their licensing effort.

Licensing would allow ND’s to provide the depth of health care that they are trained to give, providing you better service and more treatment options. Most importantly, it would protect the health care consumer by preventing untrained people from calling themselves naturopathic doctors.

Please either send a direct email to Senator Welch and Representative Benson by clicking the link below (the letter is all ready, just add you name and address to the bottom) or Copy and paste the form letter below to send via snail mail.

Dear (type in Senetor Welch or Representative Benson),

I write today to urge you to move SB 1091 and HB 2003, An act Establishing a Board of Registration of Naturopathy out of the Joint Committee on Health Care Finance.

As you know, in the last legislative session, the bill passed both the House & the Senate. Governor Deval Patrick did not to sign our bill; as far as we can gather, this was due in large part to where the board was to be housed and the makeup of our board as opposed to content of the bill. Our state association re-introduced legislation immediately. Working with the Department of Public Health, we addressed each of the concerns and the Department of Public Health is behind the current bills.

If you have any questions about this bill, please contact our legislative chair, Shiva Barton ND

(shivabartonnd@verizon.net, or our state association president, Amy Rothenberg ND, (amy@nesh.com. 413.253.5011)

Thank you for helping get this bill moved out of committee in a timely fashion.

Sincerely,

(sign and type in your name and address)
